“Do whatever He tells you.”

At the wedding feast of Cana, Mary noticed the wine ran out. She was attentive. She went to Jesus and told Him they have no wine. She knows her Son. Then she said to the servants, "Do whatever He tells you." John 2:5 

Jesus revealed Himself by performing His first miracle, changing water into the finest wine. Mary brought the problem to Jesus and she completely trusted Him. Ask her to give you a share in her trust.

When we turn to Mary, she will always lead us to her Beloved Son. Mary is attentive to our needs. She is our powerful intercessor. Before Jesus performed the miracle at the wedding feast at Cana, Mary intervened. She interceded on behalf of the hosts of the wedding. Go to Mary and she will bring your requests to Jesus. Then be quiet, listen to Him and do whatever He tells you.

Make time to talk to Mary. Meditate on the Mysteries of the Rosary through the eyes of Mary. Ask her to help you trust in Him as she did.

Do you trust in Mary's intercession?

On the Cross, Jesus gave Mary to the beloved disciple John and Jesus gave Mary to us. She is our Mother. Do you turn to her often? Do you talk to her as a beloved child? Devotion to Mary will teach you how to trust in her intercession.

How can you have devotion to Mary?

Pray the Hail Mary, the Memorare, the Angelus and the Rosary daily and make a Consecration of your life to Jesus through Mary. One way to make this Consecration is by using the book, 33 Day Preparation Total Consecration to Jesus Through Mary by St. Louis Marie de Montfort.

Once you make the Consecration, it is for life but it should be renewed annually. This Consecration is to be done in a solemn manner. Through this 33-day program you are giving Mary all of yourself, your heart, mind, and soul, in order to bring you to her Son, Jesus Christ. Mary may use you as a holy instrument in her battle with Satan. Through this Consecration, she will make you holy by assisting you to conform to her virtues through the power of the Holy Spirit. She will use your prayers, works, sacrifices, and sufferings for the greater glory of God.

How do you know what Jesus is telling you to do? 

You have to be quiet and listen. Silence opens your heart and mind so you can hear Him. When you spend time in silence, listen. Jesus will speak to you in the silence. When you make time to consecrate your life to Mary and listen to Jesus, you will come to know what He is telling you to do and you will see miracles in your life and the lives of those you are offering prayers for.

O Mary, Mother of our Savior, help us to listen and ponder all things in our hearts that we will do whatever Jesus tells us to do, just as you did.
